10/19/00 - For a preview off of Theselah's 2nd album, decidedly titled No Sleep, More Fun, go check out their garageband.com page to hear the song "Take it Fast, or Take it Slow." Anticipate the cd release to occur around Feb. 2001.
10/8/00 - Last night, Bri flicked Scott Weiland's nipple at the STP concert. That shall suffice for now.
8/27/00 - Theselah's #2 is close to being finished, and to mourn the ending of summer, Nam and Joe have recorded an homage to the Beach Boys, which strangely enough sounds a lot like Jonathan Fire Eater. You can get the song "Peteless Summer" at their iuma site. In other news, expect actual content on the Neutral Angels page by Monday, or at least a working link to another page with actual content.
8/9/00 - The Doorknobs have officially entered the garageband.com fray and it's not a pretty sight. Besides numerous complaints against the horrible recording quality and abominably bad mixes, folks seem to dig it. They've also got a new IUMA page (they don't like feeling left out either). and what about that rumor that they were getting back together? beats me- and who gives a flying fuck?!
7/30/00 - Wot's this? Just when you thought the hype was over, a new review?! Well, compliments of Listen.com, Theselah's got another nice review.
7/11/00 - Web content galore! Dave has designed a glorious SMD page. Please meditate upon its contents often. Doing so will surely set you on your path towards eternal bliss. Theselah has another redundant website on IUMA's server. It's pretty pointless, but lots of other bands have 'em these days, and Theselah doesn't like feeling left out- so there! Theselah has also entered a couple of web competitions, as its members are in dire need of easy money to support their debilitating substance addictions. Rehab is not an option!!! Not that the k.o.a. could give a shit about those sorry-ass mofos, but if you care about the progress of art, rampant capitalism, or even your mama, go see Garageband.com and Born On The Web.
7/6/00 - POP UP ADS! ARRRGH! Please excuse the inconvenience, but all V3 redirected url pages will be violated by these vile pests of the web. I'm seriously considering getting a real domain name, which, it turns out, is even cheaper than a direct account with V3. Check out directNIC.
6/19/00 - Although Theselah have hit some snags on their course to conquer the world this summer, 8 Point Restraint still put on an entertaining performance at the ABC No Rio benefit show of June 4th. Unfortunately, some shmoe forgot to press the record button on the camcorder, so documentation of this historic event exists only in the memories of those who were present. Anyway, there's a new picture in Theselah's photoalbum and the buttons are in! Ordering info is on their page.
5/8/00 - The guitars of Theselah were in noise heaven last night as they fried their input signals to a crisp. Kevin (of Lemon T-Shirt fame) recorded the show and it just might be released as a double live album, although Joe and Dave plan on never showing it to their parents. For those of you who missed the show, here's the setlist (which can only hint at the august majesty). Looking ahead, get psyched for the benefit concert! If all goes well, 8 Point Restraint will offer its premier performance, as will the full line-up of Theselah.
5/1/00 - It's rather unusual that this page should see more than one update every few weeks or so, but we've just got some minor news to share. First is the creation of the Neutral Angels homepage. Be the first to discover all the secret, hidden messages! But don't stare at it too long, or else the cat will mesmerize you into doing its nefarious biddings. Secondly, it seems like InkBlot magazine has given Theselah some more attention, calling them "big city somnambulists," as well as splitting all the COCs into individual pages. Theselah's new review page is here. Thanks a million!
4/30/00 - The k.o.a. family finds a new permutation. After receiving sudden enlightenment from listening to the recordings of the brilliant and visionary Nihilist Spasm Band, Steve (vocals) and Joe (guitar) proceeded to jam on a most unlistenable form of noise and at precisely 4:30am, the neighbors decided to call the cops on their asses. Thus, while contemplating the alternate reality in which they were remorsefully spending the night in a cold and frightening, concrete and steel cage, a new musical unit was born: 8 Point Restraint.
4/21/00 - Here are the fliers for the show going down at ABC No Rio on Sunday May 7th: ONE 117kb & TWO 57.6kb. To view pdf files, you need the Adobe Acrobat Reader available for free here.
4/3/00 - More web presence for Theselah (and k.o.a.)! Mosey on over to AudioRocket.com and check out some hip bio/demo/cardio-graphical info and choice mp3 selections, neatly organized for your perusal.
3/29/00 - This just in: k.o.a. operative Boj has successfully executed "Operation-Slap-Dave-Grohl-On-His-Dirty-Goateed-Face." That's right--the k.o.a. is on the move.
3/22/00 - The arrival of Spring brings love into the heart of many an amorous soul... and noisy side projects from members of Theselah. Neutral Angels is Joe's new brainchild for drum machine propelled, minimalist, caustic ranting. SMD is Dave's new noise moniker, but don't ask him what it stands for. He will be performing unannounced late nights at Central Park--be sure to check it out.
3/5/00 - New flashy Doorknobs bio, courtesy of Brian. Check it out. doorknobs rule
2/20/00 - SEX News! Brian Tse of the Doorknobs has just informed the k.o.a. that he has officially been honored with the title of "Sexiest Man Alive" at Buffalo! Congratulations Bri -- and we wish you many more years of frighteningly irrepressible virility! Also, it seems like the Hot Monkey Love promo will actually be a Not Sex Joe promo. (What's up with Theselah's obsession with sex anyway?)
1/19/00 - Another review! This time, Theselah has been reviewed by Ink Blot Magazine and is featured in the online zine's 9th installation of its "Cream of the Crop" section. A full-length mp3 of "Hot Monkey Love" is available at their site. Parties "in the know" are ecstatic!
1/6/00 - Theselah has been reviewed by Splendid E-zine! Check it out in the "at a glance" section for the week of 1/3/00. It's in the middle of the page. Also, the French Fries had a great recording session this Monday. The band's music was unlike anything we'd expected. We can't wait to see what else they'll come up with in the future.
12/5/99 - Additions have been made to the Theselah page: a picture gallery, as well as an interview Joe did at WBAR on 12/1 with Kim McArthur. Check it out.
9/8/99 - K.O.A. Records' b-day!
